Role overview

BIM modeling and coordination

• Develop and coordinate Revit and Navisworks MEP models for pool mechanical services, irrigation, drainage, and electrical works.
• Perform clash detection between MEP, landscape, civil, and architectural disciplines and drive resolution with design and site teams.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and irrigation specialists to ensure model accuracy and constructability.

Design and construction support

• Review shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and MEP models against design intent and site conditions.
• Extract MEP quantities, coordinated drawings, and two-dimensional outputs for construction and procurement.
• Provide site teams with coordinated model outputs, spatial coordination guidance, and clash resolution reports.

Meetings and information management

• Lead BIM coordination and ICE meetings and document issues, decisions, and action items.
• Maintain model version control and federation across disciplines using Common Data Environment platforms.
• Coordinate with the BIM Manager on project BIM strategy, standards, and delivery milestones.

Risk management

• Identify design and coordination risks involving pool hydraulics, irrigation networks, and underground utility clashes.
• Ensure models follow the BIM Execution Plan, LOD requirements, project standards, naming conventions, and data requirements.

Required qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, building services engineering, or a related field is required.
• Five to eight years of MEP BIM coordination experience focused on landscape and swimming pool construction projects is required.
• Proven UAE experience and familiarity with applicable Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence, and Trakhees requirements are essential.

Technical requirements

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of BIM 360, ACC, or similar Common Data Environment platforms is required.
• Strong understanding of ISO 19650, BS 1192, and LOD frameworks is required.
• Strong technical knowledge of pool hydraulic systems, filtration, circulation, balance tanks, irrigation, drainage, and electrical or low-current services is required.

Work setting

• The role supports active construction projects and site teams in Dubai, including pool plant rooms, pipework, filtration systems, irrigation networks, and underground services.
