Role overview
The Senior Landscape Architect will lead the design, development, and execution of landscape architecture projects across real estate developments.
The role requires UAE landscape project experience and contracting-environment experience so designs remain constructible within project timelines and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual, schematic, and detailed landscape design packages for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Coordinate landscape design with architects, civil and MEP engineers, consultants, and project master plans.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups, and conduct site inspections for progress, quality, and compliance.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and scopes of work for landscape tenders and procurement.
- Coordinate Dubai Municipality and developer approvals and NOCs.
- Manage irrigation coordination, softscape and hardscape planning, and UAE-suitable plant palettes.
- Support scheduling, cost estimation, and value engineering, resolve site issues, mentor junior staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- 8–10 years of landscape architecture experience, including significant experience in the UAE market.
- Contracting-firm experience with knowledge of construction sequencing, procurement, and site execution.
- A strong portfolio of completed UAE landscape projects.
- Knowledge of UAE landscape regulations, arid-climate plant species, and irrigation best practices.
