Site Architect

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise architectural works and verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and method statements.
• Conduct inspections and identify discrepancies, defects, and non-compliant works.
• Coordinate architectural issues with contractors, consultants, engineers, and project management teams.
• Review RFIs, technical queries, design changes, variations, and coordination issues.
• Monitor architectural finishes including blockwork, plastering, flooring, ceilings, doors, windows, cladding, painting, joinery, and waterproofing interfaces.
• Prepare observation reports, inspection requests, snag lists, and site documentation.
• Review contractor progress and provide technical feedback.
• Participate in site meetings and provide architectural updates and recommendations.
• Follow up on outstanding works, snags, as-built drawings, and close-out documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations, authority requirements, specifications, and approved design.
• Support the Senior Architect and Project Manager in maintaining project quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• 5–8 years of relevant architectural experience.
• Consultancy or site supervision experience in the UAE is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural construction details and finishing works.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction practices and authority requirements.
• Experience with residential, commercial, hospitality, or large-scale building projects is preferred.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• AutoCAD proficiency is required.
• Knowledge of Revit, BIM, MS Office, and other relevant software is an advantage.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site-related issues.
• UAE consultancy, DMT or municipality, consultant supervision, and large-scale building experience is strongly preferred.
