Finishing Inspector

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor architectural and finishing works on site.
• Inspect plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, ceilings, partitions, doors, windows, joinery, cladding, waterproofing, and other finishing works.
• Review Inspection Requests and verify that works are ready for inspection.
• Check quality, workmanship, dimensions, levels, alignment, and finishing details.
• Check delivered materials against approved samples and material submittals.
• Identify defective or non-conforming work and issue observations or NCRs when required.
• Follow up with contractors on rectification and closure of comments.
• Prepare snag lists and monitor outstanding works.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other disciplines to resolve site issues.
• Monitor mock-ups and sample areas against approved quality standards.
• Inspect completed works before handover and assist with final snagging and close-out.
• Maintain daily inspection records and relevant site documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in building construction and finishing works.
• Previous experience with a consultancy or project supervision company is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes and construction details.
• Experience with high-quality residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects is preferred.
• Good understanding of Inspection Requests, material inspections, mock-ups, snagging, NCRs, and quality procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.
• UAE experience is highly preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site in Dubai South.
