Civil Inspector

Position Overview

Site Inspection and Quality

• Inspect and monitor civil and structural works on site.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, external works, and other civil activities.
• Review Inspection Requests and verify work before consultant inspection.
• Check delivered materials against approved material submittals.
• Identify defective and non-conforming work and report observations and Non-Conformance Reports.

Records and Coordination

• Monitor workmanship, dimensions, levels, alignment, and construction quality.
• Follow up corrective actions and close observations and Non-Conformance Reports.
• Review shop drawings, Method Statements, and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and other disciplines.
• Maintain daily inspection and site records.
• Assist with snagging, testing, and project handover activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant construction inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction works.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of Inspection Requests, Inspection and Test Plans, Method Statements, Non-Conformance Reports, and quality procedures.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Dubai South.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Consultancy or site-supervision experience is an advantage.

Work Location

• The position is on-site and in person in Dubai South, Dubai, UAE.
• The work requires physical presence on the construction project site.
