Senior Technical Lead - Agentic AI

Role Overview

Accountabilities

• Architect and develop Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions from concept through production.
• Build reasoning agents, tool-calling workflows, and multi-agent systems.
• Build RAG pipelines covering retrieval, embeddings, prompting, model routing, fine-tuning, and optimization.
• Evaluate foundation models based on accuracy, performance, latency, cost, and business needs.
• Own reliable, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient LLM application architecture.
• Establish AI and LLMOps practices for deployment, monitoring, evaluation, observability, guardrails, and improvement.
• Lead and mentor AI/ML and backend engineers and conduct architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Platform, Security, and Compliance teams.
• Communicate technical decisions to senior leadership and contribute to AI strategy and roadmap discussions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years with AI/ML systems and 2+ years deploying LLM-based or Agentic AI applications in production.
• Strong hands-on expertise in LLM applications, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, agents, reasoning, and tool calling.
• Experience with LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or equivalent orchestration approaches.
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals for scalable, distributed, production-grade systems.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on MLOps or LLMOps experience with MLflow, LangSmith, Weights & Biases, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of fine-tuning and evaluation techniques, including LoRA or PEFT and RLHF concepts.
• Ability to own architecture, provide technical direction, mentor engineers, conduct reviews, and collaborate across functions.
• Excellent communication skills for business and executive-level technical discussions.

Preferred and Advantageous Expertise

• Experience with open-source models such as Llama or Mistral, AI or GenAI open-source projects or publications, or regulated-industry AI solutions.
• Knowledge of AI guardrails, red-teaming, responsible AI, model safety, and evaluation frameworks is advantageous.
• Formal people-management experience is a plus.

Compensation

• Compensation is ₹30,00,000–₹50,00,000 per year.

• The role is fully remote and based in India.
