BSL is seeking a Senior System Tester to support quality assurance across complex systems.
The role validates functionality, performance, and reliability in a high-availability environment.
The position supports high-quality delivery through testing, defect management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end testing from planning and analysis through execution and closure.
- Design and execute test cases from functional and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
- Validate integrations across multiple components and platforms.
- Analyze real-time data flows for accuracy and consistency.
- Identify, log, and track defects with development teams.
- Review requirements and system designs for testability and coverage.
- Support simulation and scenario-based testing.
- Mentor junior testers and collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and operations.
- Complete other testing duties as assigned.
Required requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant system or software testing experience.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
- Basic to intermediate database testing knowledge, including SQL, and API testing concepts.
- Experience testing complex or mission-critical systems.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA or TestRail.
- Ability to work independently and proactively drive tasks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Availability for night and after-hours testing when required.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in transportation, smart city, or traffic management systems.
- Knowledge of IoT systems, sensor integration, or Intelligent Transport Systems.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- Exposure to Selenium or Python-based automation frameworks.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification.
