Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Sous Chef specializing in Italian Cuisine to support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and delivering exceptional, authentic Italian dishes.
  • The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of traditional and modern Italian cooking techniques, and the ability to maintain high culinary standards in a fast paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
  • Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of high quality Italian dishes
  • Supervise food production for à la carte, buffet, and special events
  • Maintain smooth service during busy meal periods
  • Support in creating and updating Italian menus, seasonal specials, and new dishes
  • Ensure authenticity in flavors, ingredients, and presentation
  • Contribute creative ideas while respecting traditional Italian culinary standards
  • Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation standards
  • Monitor portion control and minimize food waste
  • Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP)
  • Supervise and train junior chefs and kitchen staff
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure teamwork during service

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in Italian cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of traditional Italian cooking methods, sauces, pasta, risotto, pizza, and regional specialties
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced kitchen
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Understanding of kitchen financials, food costing, and inventory control
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Culinary degree or professional kitchen training preferred
