Senior Software Engineer (Forward Deployed AI)

Location

• Dubai, UAE, at a client site.
• The role is fully onsite in Dubai.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary is AED 10,000 to AED 13,000 per month.

Experience

• At least five years of relevant experience as a software engineer.
• Consulting, professional services, or platform experience is preferred.
• Experience in an operationally intensive industry is advantageous.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship production applications using LLMs and agentic AI inside enterprise systems.
• Deliver agents, MCP servers, agent skills, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation harnesses.
• Run discovery with non-technical stakeholders and scope and estimate work with the architect.
• Instrument usage, quality, failure modes, and cost to prove value and catch regressions.
• Support adoption with training and documentation, and establish security, governance, and infrastructure controls before go-live.
• Complete handovers with documentation, monitoring, and a named owner, then codify repeatable patterns as reusable components.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong Python plus TypeScript, C#, or Java, with a record of shipping software to production.
• Production LLM experience covering agent development, context engineering, and evaluation under enterprise controls.
• Depth in Azure AI Foundry or OpenAI, Bedrock, or Vertex AI, plus awareness of low-code agent tooling.
• Experience with LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI Agents SDK, or Claude Agent SDK and MCP or OpenAPI integration.
• Experience with vector and hybrid search, Azure AI Search, pgvector, Qdrant, LlamaIndex, GraphRAG, or Neo4j.
• Experience with FastAPI, React, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, SQL, and evaluation tools such as Promptfoo, Ragas, or LangSmith.

Candidate Profile

• Run discovery with a frontline user and defend the solution to a security architect.
• Demonstrate high agency in ambiguous, multi-stakeholder organizations and strong enterprise integration skills.
