Senior Business Analyst – Airline Disruption Management (IROPS)

Location

• Dubai, UAE, at the client site.

Salary

• AED 15,000–AED 17,000 per month.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Own requirements through elicitation, analysis, documentation, prioritisation, traceability, and sign-off.
• Define passenger handling processes with cross-functional airline stakeholders.
• Write functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Map disruption processes and integrations with PSS, DCS, voucher, and finance systems.
• Define eligibility, entitlement, and compensation rules under passenger-rights regulations.
• Support solution design, vendor evaluation, UAT, business change, and go-live.
• Lead workshops and sign-offs, and report progress, risks, and decisions to leadership.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on PSS and DCS experience is required, including passenger and flight data flows between the systems.
• Expertise in airline disruption and passenger welfare management is required; delivery of such a solution is strongly preferred.
• Experience with BRD/FRD, user stories, use cases, BPMN, and data mapping is required.
• Knowledge of IROPS and passenger-rights or compensation frameworks is required.
• Ability to specify PSS/DCS, notification, voucher/payment, and finance reconciliation integrations is required.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps and comfort with Agile or hybrid delivery are required.

Candidate Profile

• 5–8 years of business analysis experience, largely on airline or travel-domain systems.
• Ability to lead senior cross-functional stakeholders and drive decisions to closure.
• Clear communication skills for leadership presentations and build-ready documentation.
• Structured and detail-oriented approach, with comfort working onsite in a fast-moving operational environment.
