Senior SAP EWM Consultant (Embedded)

Overview

Sap S And 4hana Ewm Transformation

• Lead end-to-end transformation of warehouse operations from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and operational excellence.
• Define the product vision, roadmap, strategy, and delivery plan for Embedded EWM solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of EWM with procurement, inventory management, production, and finance processes.

Product Management & Ownership

• Take ownership of the Embedded EWM solution post-implementation, ensuring continuous optimization and operational efficiency.
• Manage the full lifecycle of EWM solutions, including planning, implementation, enhancement, and support.
• Act as the primary product owner and subject matter expert for SAP EWM, driving automation and process improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering

• Collaborate with warehouse operations, procurement, supply chain, and IT stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements.
• Conduct workshops and requirement sessions for warehouse management, inventory handling, yard management, and logistics execution.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership on project progress, risks, and milestones.

Solution Design & Configuration

• Lead the design and configuration of Embedded EWM processes including:
• Inbound and outbound processing
• Internal warehouse movements
• Cross-docking
• Wave management
• Slotting and rearrangement
• Yard management
• Ensure integration with SAP MM, SD, PP, and Finance modules where applicable.

Testing, Validation & Go-Live Support

• Coordinate functional, integration, UAT, and performance testing activities for EWM processes.
• Ensure operational readiness and smooth Go-Live execution with minimal disruption.
• Manage post-Go-Live hypercare and stabilization activities.

Training & Change Management

• Develop and deliver training programs for warehouse users, key users, and support teams.
• Lead change management initiatives to support adoption of automated warehouse processes.

Continuous Improvement & Optimization

• Monitor warehouse KPIs and system performance to identify optimization opportunities.
• Implement process automation, slotting optimization, and warehouse efficiency improvements.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain detailed documentation for EWM configurations, business processes, and integrations.
• Ensure compliance with logistics standards, inventory controls, and operational procedures.

Collaboration & Team Leadership

• Mentor and guide EWM consultants and support teams to ensure delivery quality.
• Coordinate with cross-functional SAP teams for integrated supply chain execution.

Risk Management & Reporting

• Identify and mitigate warehouse-related operational risks such as capacity bottlenecks and inventory issues.
• Provide status reports and performance updates to senior leadership.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in SAP Supply Chain Execution, including at least 3–5 years in SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM implementations.
• Proven experience in ECC to S/4HANA warehouse transformation projects.
• Strong experience in warehouse process optimization and automation initiatives.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM certification is mandatory.

Project Management

• Experience delivering large-scale SAP supply chain projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

Technical Expertise

• Hands-on expertise in Embedded EWM configuration including:
• Inbound and outbound processes
• Internal warehouse processes
• Wave management
• Slotting and rearrangement
• Yard management
• Strong understanding of integration with MM, SD, PP, and Finance modules.
• Knowledge of warehouse automation and robotics integration is an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in aviation, logistics, manufacturing, or large-scale distribution environments.
• Exposure to international logistics operations and compliance requirements.
• Experience integrating SAP EWM with external logistics or 3PL systems.
