Role overview
GE Vernova's Advanced Research business develops technologies for energy, renewables, electrification, and the power grid.
The Senior Robotics Engineer will develop advanced automation solutions for manufacturing processes across GE Vernova operations.
The role combines robotics, controls, manufacturing, machine vision, and lean optimization.
Roles and responsibilities
- Lead robotic and automation solution design, development, and deployment for manufacturing lines.
- Analyze workflows and implement improvements to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Program industrial robots and integrate them with supervisory control systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Apply machine vision for part recognition, inspection, and alignment.
- Conduct feasibility studies, proofs of concept, and prototypes before full-scale deployment.
- Troubleshoot deployed systems and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Research advances in robotics and manufacturing and collaborate with academic and industry partners.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to robotics-related intellectual property and patents.
