Job Description
- Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, budgets, and commercial proposals by accurately quantifying and interpreting CAD drawings and tender documents.
- Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and maintaining strong commercial relationships.
- Assess project commercial feasibility, provide cost-effective alternatives to the Design team, and work closely with Sales and Operations to maintain project costs within budget.
- -Manage client variations, price negotiations, internal project budgets, and project cost closing in coordination with Operations and Finance, ensuring accurate and timely commercial control.
Qualifications
- With at least 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Commercial professional within the exhibition, events, interior fit-out, or experiential industry.
- Direct experience in preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs, material and subcontractor costing, and commercial pricing specifically for exhibition stands and events.
- Good knowledge of materials, construction methods, subcontractor pricing, and event/exhibition production costs.
- UAE/GCC exhibition or events industry experience is highly preferred.
