Project Overview

Job Summary

Major Responsibilities

• Advise the project team on implementation of project quality requirements and management system arrangements.
• Provide input to project KPIs and report weekly and monthly progress to the Quality Manager.
• Review contractor quality manuals, procedures, quality plans, ITPs, templates, and audit schedules.
• Prepare audit checklists and participate in audits of project, contractor, supplier, and subcontractor quality programs.
• Monitor quality-related engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, and decommissioning activities.
• Monitor nonconforming conditions and corrective actions for quality program effectiveness.
• Determine quality requirements for engineering, procurement, and construction documents.
• Draft and review quality procedures, manuals, program plans, revisions, and amendments.
• Review regulatory changes and their impact on the quality program.
• Review inspection plans, recommend performance-risk mitigation solutions, and follow up on audit corrective actions.
• Maintain client quality contacts, provide status updates, and execute applicable actions.
• Provide direction to quality specialists, assign work, review outputs, and support standardized metrics.

Education and Experience

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or international equivalent and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Requires at least five years of relevant experience as a quality professional.
• Practical experience in engineering, environmental science, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning, or business administration is required.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Technical knowledge sufficient to understand engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of quality principles and their application across project disciplines.
• Knowledge of corrective action systems for eliminating nonconforming conditions.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting quality programs.
• Proficiency in oral and written English communication and applicable computer applications.
• A recognized degree and/or specialized courses in engineering, quality, or a specialized discipline.
• ISO 9001 Certified Lead Auditor certification is required.
• Knowledge of Bechtel’s administrative practices is preferred.
