Senior Project Manager (Expo)

Work Location and Schedule

• The role is based in Riyadh and is designated as full-time office/project work.
• The position supports the Expo 2030 Riyadh infrastructure program.

Project Overview

Job Summary

Delivery and Contractor Management

• Support design delivery, contractor procurement, construction oversight, and compliance with drawings, specifications, schedules, ES&H plans, quality standards, and regulatory codes.
• Resolve non-standard issues escalated from the team using extensive industry experience and innovative approaches.
• Oversee general-contractor performance, project status, schedules, cost control, and change-management systems.
• Manage the team and support contractors and third parties to meet schedules and overall program objectives.

Planning and Site Coordination

• Review look-ahead schedules, commodity charts, resource charts, engineering deliverables, material deliveries, and contractor submittals to maintain continuous work fronts.
• Support stakeholders in obtaining required permits and licenses and verify compliance with permit conditions.
• Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Ensure plans and procedures are established and followed for engineering, procurement, and construction activities.

Stakeholder and Program Coordination

• Maintain effective relationships with the client, stakeholders, and functional departments.
• Coordinate jobsite contractual activities and work within a multifunctional team managing project performance and progress.
• Support integration of safety, quality, and operational requirements with the ESH Director and Quality Manager.

Education and Experience

• A recognized bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent, in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 25 years of experience on large infrastructure projects, including hands-on construction experience.
• At least 10 years working as a Project Manager and 5 years in a senior leadership position.
• Experience leading large infrastructure projects from a contractor or project management consultant perspective.
• Thorough knowledge of project phases from contracting and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Knowledge of industry and regulatory codes, standards, ES&H requirements, and project practices.
• Experience in KSA, the Middle East, or GCC is preferred.
• Good oral and written English communication skills are required; Arabic is advantageous.
