Project Overview

Expo 2030 Riyadh will run from October 2030 to March 2031 and is expected to welcome more than 40 million visits.

Bechtel will manage an infrastructure program covering early works, utilities, streets, parks, and a mixed-use legacy development across the six-square-kilometer site.

The project master plan incorporates international sustainability standards for urban afforestation, treated water, and energy sources.

Workplace

  • The role is based in Riyadh at a full-time office and project work location.
  • International single relocation is authorized.

Job Summary

Manage the organization and direction of project construction activities and oversee total site management.

Oversee construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, and finance and accounting.

Ensure project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget, and aligned with client expectations.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage construction interfaces to meet quality, cost, statutory, safety, environmental, and scheduling requirements.
  • Support construction delivery, quality control, management reporting, and risk planning.
  • Maintain project governance, processes, and systems throughout the project.
  • Coordinate with the customer, package manager, PMC organizations, and contractors on internal construction interfaces.
  • Plan the construction interface process from inception through completion.
  • Prepare interface plans aligned with the project's critical path.
  • Assess interface risks and determine appropriate allocation and management approaches.
  • Coordinate look-ahead schedules, commodity charts, resource charts, material delivery schedules, and contractor submittals to maintain work-front availability.

Education and Experience

  • A recognized bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent is required.
  • At least 20 years of professional experience in a similar role, direct construction, or construction management is required.
  • Proven experience with large-scale and complex construction projects is required.
  • Knowledge of international standards, specifications, codes, and associated safety procedures is required.
  • Experience implementing ES&H and quality management systems is required.
  • Experience in KSA, the Middle East, or GCC is preferred.
  • Good oral and written English communication skills are required, while Arabic is advantageous.
