Role Overview
The employer is seeking a Senior QA/QC Engineer (Civil) for landscape and swimming pool civil works.
The role leads quality assurance and quality control activities on live UAE construction sites.
The successful candidate should have execution-side experience with UAE contracting firms.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor the project Quality Management System for civil works.
- Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans, and quality control procedures before execution.
- Conduct site inspections and witness hold points for excavation, structural works, waterproofing, pool shells, hardscaping, and finishing works.
- Coordinate inspections, approvals, and handover with consultants and client representatives.
- Maintain quality records, inspection checklists, and as-built documentation.
- Lead internal quality audits and support external audits by clients, consultants, or certifying bodies.
- Coordinate with the Material Engineer to ensure only approved materials are used.
- Ensure compliance with UAE municipal regulations, project specifications, and relevant international quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 12 years of QA/QC experience, including 3 to 4 years in a senior role.
- QA/QC experience with UAE-based contracting firms.
- Hands-on QA/QC experience on landscape and swimming pool execution projects in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, waterproofing systems, and pool shell or structural works.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or an equivalent quality management qualification is advantageous.
