This senior quality engineering role focuses on the reliability, correctness, and scalability of critical payment flows.

Accountabilities
- Own end-to-end quality for deposits, payouts, reconciliation, and other business-critical transactions.
- Design API-first test strategies covering REST, JSON, HTTP, and transaction lifecycles.
- Build automated API and selective UI test suites with Playwright, RestAssured, or comparable frameworks.
- Develop reusable API clients, test data builders, and automation utilities.
- Test payment processor and Open Banking integrations, including asynchronous callbacks, polling, retries, and failures.
- Investigate incidents, reproduce defects, analyze technical evidence, and contribute to root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with backend and product teams on testability and acceptance criteria.
- Support release gates, regression testing, smoke tests, and pre-release CI/CD validation.
- Strengthen testing coverage and quality standards across distributed payment systems.
- Explore AI-assisted QA and automation techniques.
Requirements
- Proven QA engineering or test automation experience with ownership of complex systems is required.
- Hands-on REST API testing experience, including HTTP, JSON, and request/response validation, is required.
- Strong backend, distributed services, and integration-pattern knowledge is required.
- Experience with Playwright, RestAssured, or similar frameworks is required.
- Technical diagnosis using logs, databases, API traces, and debugging tools is required.
- Understanding of asynchronous systems, queues, polling, retries, and failure handling is required.
- CI/CD pipeline and automated quality-check experience is required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are required.
- Payments or fintech experience is strongly valued but not mandatory.
- SQL, distributed systems, and AI-powered QA familiarity are advantageous.
