Job Overview

  • We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer, who is responsible to independently handling the Modification, Extension, Maintenance and Spare parts orders of Siemens make MV and LV Switchgears.
  • Having sound technical knowledge of Siemens MV Switchgears (both GIS and AIS) and LV Switchgears.
  • Well versed in Project Management processes starting from Sales handover until project completion.
  • Having 10 yrs of experience in handling similar projects.

You'll make a difference by

  • Assisting Project Manager in managing Switchgear projects within the time, budget and quality requirements.
  • Must have sound technical knowledge of Siemens make Medium Voltage Switchgears (both AIS & GIS) and their Protection Systems, especially in the Utility substations and Oil and Gas industries.
  • Project Planning: Taking over project from Sales team, make clarifications and perform overall project planning including preparing Project Overview, Resource allocation plan, Procurement plan, Revenue generation plan and overall Project time schedule.
  • Procurement and Subcontracting: Release Purchase Orders and Subcontracts after taking inputs from Engineering and Procurement teams. Make regular follow ups with vendors and suppliers for their deliverables until project completion.
  • Project Monitoring and Controlling: Analyze and continuously monitor project plan fulfilment with regard to technical and commercial aspects of the project. Prepare Project Progress Measurement sheets, conduct weekly review meetings. Assist Project manager in monitoring cash flow and revenue generat
  • Project Reporting: Assess and document project status and perform project internal and external reporting in line with Company and Customer guidelines.
  • Risk Management: Carry out risks assessment of the project from Sales handover phase until project completion, identify risks and prepare mitigation action plan. Continuously monitor the risk influencing factors and take appropriate measures.
  • Contracts & Claim Management: Assist Project and Procurement Manager in Identifying early deviations and changes in project. Send timely change notifications to Customer and suppliers. Assist Project Manager in preparing Change orders and Time extension Claims.
  • Stakeholder Management & Customer relations: Assist Project Manager in developing stakeholder management plan and engage all parties accordingly. Inform project status to customer, internal management, project team and other interested parties on a regular basis. Develop strategies to continue and/o
  • Project Closeout: Manage the Project completion/ close out and the acceptance of delivery units and services incl. validation and verification and organize the finalized handover to the customer and involved parties.
