About the Role
Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for an Application Engineer for the Center of Competence of Electrical Products in Dubai. The role involves design, engineering, and application development of Low Voltage Switchgears, supporting partners across the Middle East.

Responsibilities
- Analyze tender documents and customer requirements to develop compliant and competitive proposals
- Prepare and submit tenders through Siemens panel builders for low voltage electrification projects
- Create project designs and develop the best configuration according to customer requirements
- Conduct detailed design and engineering activities for low voltage projects under execution
- Provide network calculations such as load flow analysis, voltage drop, short circuit and discrimination studies
- Support Siemens partners in developing applications/configurations to fulfill project requirements
- Develop selection guidelines and quotation tools to support partners
- Provide technical support and guidance to Siemens partners during tendering and execution phases
Requirements
- Experience in design and engineering of low voltage switchgears
- Ability to analyze tender documents and develop compliant proposals
- Proficiency in network calculations (load flow, short circuit, discrimination)
- Knowledge of Siemens LV Switchgear portfolio

Introduction
- Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for an Application Engineer for the Center of Competence of Electrical Products business unit.
- Location: Dubai, UAE.
- Role involves design, engineering and application development activities of Low Voltage Switchgears, supporting Siemens partners across the Middle East Region.
Your Role
- Analyze tender documents and customer requirements to develop compliant and competitive proposals.
- Preparation and submission of tenders through Siemens panel builders for low voltage electrification package of key projects.
- Prepare compliance statements according to project specifications.
- Create project designs and develop the best configuration (technically and commercially) according to customer requirement.
- Conduct detailed design and engineering activities for low voltage projects under execution (preparing manufacturing drawings, BoM, network architectures, schematic & wiring diagrams).
- Provide network calculations such as load flow analysis, voltage drop, short circuit and discrimination studies.
- Support Siemens partners in developing certain application/configuration to fulfill project requirements.
- Develop selection guidelines and quotation tools to support partners.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Siemens partners during tendering & execution phases.
- Participate in and develop technical documents to raise awareness of Siemens LV Switchgears.
- Standardization of proven concepts and solutions to replicate them as ready made packages.
- Identify customer business needs and translate them into feature requirements.
