Role Overview
Senior Platform Engineer role based in India for a partner company.
Design and operate scalable data platforms in a modern cloud environment.
The role is remote and combines hands-on engineering with reliability, security, automation, and performance work.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and manage scalable data platforms using Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Automate deployment and delivery workflows with CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
- Build and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipelines and infrastructure.
- Apply security practices and support compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Resolve infrastructure and data platform issues and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Professional experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar cloud, data infrastructure, or DevOps role.
- Hands-on expertise with GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Workflows, Pub/Sub, or Dataflow, or comparable technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD workflows, particularly GitHub Actions.
- Experience using dbt for data modeling and transformation.
- Understanding of DevOps, infrastructure automation, deployment practices, and cloud operations.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or a similar language.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
