Project and Role Overview
Bechtel is providing project management consultancy services for the development of King Salman International Airport in Riyadh.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will report to the MEP Lead and supervise customer designers and contractors delivering terminal HVAC controls and BMS design.
The role coordinates technical delivery across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, stakeholders, and project teams.
Major Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage designers and contractors delivering terminal buildings BMS design.
- Review BMS technical submissions and monitor designer and contractor progress and performance.
- Support procurement, technical evaluations, and award recommendations for MEP contractors.
- Coordinate permits and approvals with the Stakeholder Management team throughout the project life cycle.
- Support construction and quality teams with RFIs, field change requests, non-conformance reports, and work inspection requests.
Design and Commissioning Coordination
- Support vendor factory testing and inspections.
- Support start-up and commissioning teams from design through execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.
