The partner company is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Economist based in the United States.
The role combines economic research, causal inference, and advanced machine learning for complex problems in a large-scale, multi-sided marketplace.
The position suits technically minded economists interested in research-driven problem solving, ownership, and experimentation.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning solutions for economic and marketplace challenges at scale.
- Apply economic theory, econometric methods, causal inference, and machine learning to observational and experimental data.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, software engineers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Improve algorithms and models to increase operational efficiency, improve decisions, and generate measurable business impact.
- Contribute to matching and logistics, online advertising, customer decision-making, uplift modeling, long-term value, and causal inference projects.
- Share research findings, engineering practices, modeling approaches, and lessons learned across problem areas.
- For senior-level hires, productionize ML models and contribute to scalable ML infrastructure and cloud deployment practices.
- Own projects from problem definition through implementation and deployment with a focus on technical quality and practical outcomes.
