Project Overview
Bechtel is managing infrastructure works for Expo 2030 Riyadh with Expo 2030 Riyadh Company.
The program includes early works, utilities, streets, parks, and publicly accessible infrastructure across a six-square-kilometer site.
The development is planned to transition into a mixed-use legacy development after the event.
Job Summary
Integrate safety and health requirements into complex project planning, design, and operations.
Perform risk assessments, contribute to bid decisions, lead meetings and communications, and monitor performance trends.
Recommendations will support improved safety procedures and work processes.
Major Responsibilities
- Conduct and document daily site inspections at least once every shift.
- Verify implementation of health and safety requirements by contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Raise health and safety observations through online reporting systems.
- Participate in contractor pre-start and kick-off meetings.
- Verify security, traffic management, logistics, and emergency arrangements.
- Follow up on safety non-conformances and escalate unresolved issues.
- Issue suspension-of-work instructions for inadequate controls or imminent injury risks.
- Discuss contractor reward and recognition schemes in weekly meetings.
- Verify compliance with traffic management plans and PAPI programs.
- Discuss monthly health and safety file requirements with contractors.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering degree is required.
- Relevant international occupational health and safety qualifications are required.
- 10–15 years of relevant work experience are required.
