Role Overview
The Senior Finance Officer will manage financial operations, statutory compliance, cross-border transactions, and strategic financial support.
The ideal candidate has experience in the IT or software industry and hands-on expertise in international payments, FOREX, treasury operations, and hedging strategies.
The position is full time and based in Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily finance and accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Handle cross-border transactions, international remittances, and multi-currency settlements.
- Manage FOREX exposure and recommend hedging strategies to mitigate currency risks.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and treasury operations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, VAT requirements, and applicable corporate taxation.
- Support budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain internal financial controls and compliance with company policies.
- Review contracts for financial risks and support statutory audits through closure of observations.
- Provide financial insights for strategic decisions and improve finance processes through automation where feasible.
Required Qualifications
- CA qualification and experience with FOREX and international trade are identified as mandatory.
- A professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
- 7–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
- Prior experience working with an IT, SaaS, or software product company.
- Experience managing international financial transactions and multi-currency operations.
- Strong knowledge of treasury management, FOREX, currency risk management, and hedging techniques.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
