About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead corrosion and metallurgy management activities to execute long term and yearly operating plans
- Supervise implementation of performance objectives of the corrosion and metallurgy management unit
- Supervise development, reviews, and communication of corrosion and metallurgy management policies, standards and procedures
- Lead and supervise technical studies, research, and failure analysis in corrosion and metallurgy management
- Provide direction in corrosion and metallurgy management to internal end users and endorse plans and changes in specifications for EPC projects
- Supervise scheduling of corrosion and metallurgy management activities to ensure timely provision of engineering services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 8 years of experience in corrosion & metallurgy engineering
- Knowledge of engineering principles related to metallurgy engineering
- Experience in development and reviews of relevant policies, standards and procedures in oil and gas industry
- Good working knowledge of systems and tools related to corrosion and metallurgy engineering
- Knowledge of industry applicable corrosion codes and standards such as API, ASTM, NACE
- Familiarity with International codes and standards
- Planning, organizing, scheduling, coordinating, checking, examining, and recording skills
- API certifications recommended

Job Purpose
- Supervise and ensure the development and consistent application of standards related to Corrosion and Metallurgy Management of existing and developed assets.
- Contribute to high safety and reliability of company operations for fulfilment of production targets.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Lead the corrosion and metallurgy management activities in executing the long term and yearly operating plans.
- Supervise the implementation of performance objectives of the corrosion and metallurgy management unit.
- Supervise the development, reviews, and effective communication of corrosion and metallurgy management related policies, standards and procedures.
- Lead and supervise technical studies, research, and failure analysis in the areas of corrosion and metallurgy management.
- Provide direction in corrosion and metallurgy management to internal end users and endorse plans and changes in specifications of EPC for technical and major projects.
- Supervise the scheduling of corrosion and metallurgy management activities to ensure timely and effective provision of requested engineering services.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 8 yrs. of experience in corrosion & metallurgy engineering with emphasis on corrosion and materials monitoring within a large industrial organization, preferably in Oil and Gas.
- Knowledge of engineering principles related to metallurgy engineering.
- Experience in development and reviews of relevant policies, standard and procedures relevant to oil and gas industry.
- Good working knowledge and skills in various systems and tools related to corrosion and metallurgy engineering.
- Knowledge and experience in industry applicable corrosion codes and standards such as API, ASTM, NACE.
- Familiarity of International codes and standards.
- Planning and organizing, scheduling, and coordinating, checking, examining, and recording.
- Recommended to have API certifications.
