Role overview
Lead DevSecOps and platform engineering for a major federal modernization program.
Own the engineering system behind a 24/7 platform spanning legacy and cloud-based technologies.
Combine hands-on architecture, automation, security engineering, observability, production reliability, and people leadership.
The position is fully remote, full-time W-2 employment for a U.S.-based worker.
Accountabilities
- Lead architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement across applications, stacks, and environments.
- Design CI/CD pipelines and zero-downtime deployment and rollback capabilities.
- Automate infrastructure and environments as code.
- Embed security scanning, vulnerability remediation, quality controls, and authorization evidence into workflows.
- Develop observability and own incident response, root-cause analysis, capacity, performance, and disaster recovery.
- Support legacy modernization and dual-stack data integration while maintaining stability and authorization.
- Establish engineering metrics and lead AI-enabled workflows for development, testing, analysis, documentation, and remediation.
- Lead, mentor, hire, and develop engineers and represent platform engineering to customers and federal stakeholders.
