Responsibilities
- Apply advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify issues
- Decommission hardware for complex changes following standard procedures
- Delegate hardware installation, deployment, and replacement work to technicians while providing expert guidance
- Ensure quality execution as defined by organizational standards, coordinating downtime and keeping stakeholders informed
- Assist and provide guidance to technicians to complete challenging tasks and escalate issues as needed
- Ensure technicians perform post execution quality checks and verify compliance with safety protocols and deployment standards
- Verify security compliance for decommissions and process data bearing devices for destruction
- Maintain awareness of KPIs through dashboards and monthly performance discussions
- Train and mentor technicians through on the job training and direct guidance
- Attend, conduct, or assist in conducting daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with safety procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components AND experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements including Microsoft Cloud Background Check

Overview
- As a Microsoft Senior Data Center Technician (DCT), you will demonstrate expertise in standard processes for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment.

Responsibilities
- Apply advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify the cause(s) of issues.
- Decommission hardware for complex changes and/or systems with complex interactions following standard procedures.
- Delegate hardware installation, deployment, and/or replacement work to technicians while providing expert guidance.
- Ensure quality execution as defined by organizational standards, coordinating downtime and keeping stakeholders informed.
- Assist and provide guidance to technicians to complete challenging or complex tasks and escalate issues as needed.
