- Serve as the customer’s trusted technology advisor (virtual CTO) and grow the technology relationship across leadership
- Drive Microsoft business growth and customer technology transformation by leading technical executive conversations and governance
- Orchestrate internal and partner technical team to deliver technology leadership and an always learning culture spanning agentic AI, Copilot, data modernization, and Zero Trust security
- Generate and protect Microsoft trust by living Microsoft’s values, culture, and Trust Code
- Apply deep telecommunications expertise to shape an AI strategy aligned to business outcomes and challenge customers’ assumptions
- Anticipate telecommunications market trends and disruptors to help customers accelerate achieving their goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes (preferred)
- 4+ years experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management (preferred)
- 5+ years experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams (preferred)
- Deep telecommunications expertise across network cloudification, 5G, OSS/BSS, and monetization of connectivity and data

Overview
- Microsoft’s Enterprise Account Team in Telco partners with Canada’s communications providers to lead their industry’s AI transformation.
- We envision new possibilities with our customers modernizing networks, reinventing customer and subscriber experiences, and turning data into new sources of growth.
- As a Strategic Account Technology Strategist, you will serve as the trusted technology advisor in effect, a virtual CTO—to the technology leadership of your telecommunications accounts.
- You will design and drive leading edge initiatives in deep partnership with your customers’ CTOs, CTIOs, and Chief Network and AI Officers.
- Paired with a Strategic Account Executive, you will orchestrate a large, multi functional v team across the Microsoft Cloud and partner ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Customer AI and Security Strategy Leadership As the customer’s trusted technology advisor, grow and manage the technology relationship across the leadership.
- Drive Operational and Commercial Excellence Drive Microsoft business growth, customer technology transformation leading technical executive conversations and governance, partnering to accelerate adoption of Microsoft platforms.
- Technology Leadership Across Microsoft Orchestrate the internal and partner technical team to deliver technology leadership and an always learning culture—spanning agentic AI and Copilot, data modernization and migration, and Zero Trust security.
- Compliance – Generate and protect Microsoft trust by living Microsoft’s values, culture, and Trust Code in every decision.
- Industry Knowledge – Apply deep telecommunications expertise across network cloudification, 5G, OSS/BSS, and the monetization of connectivity and data to shape an AI strategy aligned to business outcomes.

Qualifications
- Required/minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience.
- Additional Or Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 14+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.
- 4+ years experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management.
- 5+ years experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams.
Compensation
- Strategic Account Technology IC5 The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD 128,000 CAD 222,400 per year.
