- Provide task specific guidance to a team of technicians for incoming/outgoing deliveries and documentation.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders including third party warehouses, OEM vendors, and suppliers for inbound/outbound deliveries.
- Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high volume work activity or escalation based situations.
- Maintain accurate inventory balance and ensure teams follow inventory management steps.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for RMA warranty process, ensuring teams process failed vendor hardware devices.
- Manage schedule of DBD destruction in partnership with senior leadership and ensure compliance with procedures.
- Attend, conduct, or assist in daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Seek opportunities to contribute to workstreams and evolve processes toward simplification and automation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma AND 3+ years experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
- 3+ years experience operating heavy load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation (preferred)

Overview
- As a Microsoft Senior Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will prioritize and assign ticketed work, provide guidance on inbound/outbound logistics tasks, and ensure accurate inventory balances.
- Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) delivers core infrastructure for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Azure.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize ticketing queues, work to resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of Inventory and Asset Management activities.
- Provide task specific guidance to a team of technicians responsible for preparing and executing incoming/outgoing deliveries and documenting inbound/outbound packages.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders including third party warehouses, OEM vendors, and suppliers as necessary to facilitate inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high volume work activity or escalation based situations.
- Leverage process knowledge and technical skills to resolve escalations, clear blocking issues, and enable on site and/or remote data center support activities.
- Maintain a strong stakeholder focus to improve quality and ensure customer receives highest return on investment.
- Ensure teams maintain and perform steps required to keep inventory balance accurate.
- Act as SME about RMA warranty process ensuring teams process failed vendor hardware devices using tools and processes RMAs.
- Manage schedule of DBD destruction or shredding in partnership with senior leadership and ensure team follows all processes and procedures.
- Attend, conduct, or assist in conducting daily safety briefings, completes required safety training, provides guidance to technicians to facilitate compliance with safety procedures.
- Seek out opportunities to contribute to workstreams and evolve existing workstream processes, services, and solutions toward greater simplification and automation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma AND 3+ years experience warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: 3+ year(s) experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy load movement equipment for a large corporation (or equivalent experience).
