Role Overview
The partner company is seeking a Senior Android Engineer based in Australia.
The role owns a fast-growing consumer mobile product used by students internationally.
The position combines hands-on Android development with technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
Accountabilities
- Own the Android application end-to-end, including architecture, technical direction, performance, releases, and roadmap execution.
- Establish the mobile technical vision and maintain high engineering standards.
- Lead and mentor mobile engineers and help shape the mobile engineering function.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and growth teams on mobile strategy and product initiatives.
- Develop features rapidly in a product-led growth and A/B testing environment.
- Instrument features, analyze results, and use data and experimentation to improve the product.
- Own versioning, Google Play deployment, app-store optimization, crash monitoring, and performance tracking.
- Diagnose complex issues and improve application stability and performance.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years of professional experience in native Android development.
