Role Overview

Work Environment

• The role is fully remote and requires independent work in a transformation-focused environment.

Accountabilities

• Oversee fixed asset and PPE accounting, including capitalization policies, disposals, impairment considerations, and register accuracy.
• Review complex transactions, contracts, financing arrangements, and accounting matters under US GAAP.
• Provide senior technical review and resolve accounting issues before they become audit findings.
• Improve month-end close processes, accrual methodologies, cut-off procedures, and manual adjustment controls.
• Maintain rigorous balance sheet reconciliation standards and ownership for key accounts.
• Prepare audit schedules, reports, supporting documentation, and technical accounting materials.
• Support a major accounting software migration through process documentation, control-gap analysis, workflow redesign, and requirements validation.
• Assess financial risks, investigate discrepancies, and implement stronger internal controls.
• Partner with leadership on accounting expertise, technical guidance, and controllership oversight.
• Educate team members on accounting policies and support continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Financial Auditor, Assistant Controller, or in a comparable senior accounting or controllership role.
• Deep, hands-on US GAAP knowledge, including complex judgments and capitalization policies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and professional QuickBooks Online experience.
• NetSuite experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fixed assets, PPE accounting, accruals, month-end close, reconciliations, audit preparation, and internal controls.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of complex accounting challenges.
