Role Overview
Part-time Retail Sales Associate role serving customers in a Lowe’s home improvement store.
The associate helps customers solve home improvement needs, locate and select products, and receive accurate orders and deliveries.
Department assignment may include appliances, cabinets, flooring, garden, hardware, tools, building materials, plumbing, electrical, paint, décor, tool rental, or Pro Services.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide professional customer service.
- Locate, select, and handle merchandise for customers.
- Replenish shelves and down-stock merchandise.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately and on time.
- Train across store areas as needed.
- Prepare merchandise such as tinted paint, cut pipe, bundled wood, cut drywall, or cut blinds.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Minimum Qualifications
- Six months of experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
- Six months of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform prolonged standing, sitting, lifting, and other activities required by the role.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the assigned department.
Working Conditions
- The role is performed in a store environment that may include indoor and outdoor weather conditions, varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
- Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be required, but regular travel is not required.
Compensation
- Pay range is $15.50 to $16.75 per hour.
