Role Overview

Customer and Sales Responsibilities

• Seek out customers, understand their needs, answer questions, and explain Lowe's products and services.
• Provide product specifications, features, promotions, financing options, and consulting support to close sales.
• Provide project estimates, schedule installer visits, process and track orders, and follow up on installations.
• Serve as a department contact for customers and vendors.
• Support outside accounts and sales services when assigned to the Pro department.

Store Operations

• Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors and other stores to locate merchandise and order replacement stock.
• Review prices according to policy and maintain pricing and related documentation.
• Support checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, and assistance requests.
• Train department associates through on-the-job training and coaching.
• Complete other assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of customer-facing sales experience or six months of Lowe's retail experience, with alternative experience combinations when the education requirement is not met.
• At least one year of sales or customer service experience in an environment with sales goals or metrics.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic, stand or sit for prolonged periods, and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience completing customer sales orders.
• Experience promoting installation, delivery, credit financing, or extended protection plans.
• At least two years of experience designing customized products with 20/20 or a computer-aided design system.
• Professional certification related to the department.
• Bilingual skills.

Compensation

• The listed pay range is USD 17.00 to 19.05 per hour.
• Starting pay may vary based on position, location, education, training, and experience.

Working Conditions

• The role may involve inside and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty environments.
• The role may involve noise, moving or shaking objects and equipment, prolonged standing or sitting, and lifting merchandise.
• Single lifts are generally limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts and powered equipment used as required.
