Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs and report abnormal values to treating physicians
- Administer prescribed medications
- Monitor intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies
- Care for clients with tracheostomy, gastrostomy, and colostomy
- Carry out nursing care for clients with pacemaker, peritoneal dialysis, and on ventilator
- Deliver nursing care for clients with hemiplegic, paraplegic, Bell's palsy, cerebral palsy, terminally ill, and elderly
- Care for newborns, pre and post partum mothers
- Care for physically challenged clients and those needing special care at home or educational facility
- Deliver simple exercises, help in ambulation, and accompany clients to social gatherings, hospitals, and other facilities
- Care for wounds to prevent exacerbation of pressure ulcers
- Report and record medical events, procedures, and parameters
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school
- Active Basic Life Support training
- 2 to 5 years working experience as RN
- Current valid registration in country of training and/or last employment
- Eligible for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing
- Critical care qualification preferred
- Pediatric qualification preferred
- ACLS preferred
- PALS preferred
- Able to speak Arabic

Principal Accountabilities
- Prepares clinical and progress notes, coordinates services, works as liaison between treating physician and other personnel of changes in the client's condition and family members
- Counsels the clients and family in meeting nursing and related needs, participates in in service programs, and supervises and teaches other nursing personnel
Specific Duties
- Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting to the treating physicians for the abnormal values
- Administering prescribed medications
- Monitoring intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies
- Caring of clients with Tracheostomy, gastrostomy and colostomy
- Carrying out nursing care to clients with Pace maker, peritoneal dialysis, and clients on ventilator
- Delivering Nursing care of clients with hemiplegic, paraplegic, Bells palsy, cerebral palsy, terminally ill, and elderly etc.
- Caring new born, pre and post partum mothers
- Caring of clients with physically challenged and those who need special care at home or at their educational facility
- Delivering simple exercises, helping in ambulation and accompanying clients to social gathering, hospitals, other treatment facilities and out doors
- Caring for the wound of the patient in order to prevent exacerbation of pressure ulcers
- Reporting and recording of medical events, procedures and other medical parameters
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems in order to report and discuss observations with a supervisor or case manager, or Medical Doctor
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing in home country; Active Basic Life Support training; Critical care qualification preferred; Pediatric qualification (for pediatrics RN) preferred; ACLS (for adult patients) preferred; PALS (for pediatric patients) preferr
- Experience: 2 to 5 Years working experience as RN
- Certification and Licensure: Current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment; Eligible for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing
