Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced

Recreation Supervisor

to lead the day-to-day operations of our club’s recreational facilities.

This role ensures an engaging, safe, and well-maintained environment for members and guests.

You will supervise guest-facing teams, maintain operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional service standards across all recreational areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily opening and closing procedures and ensure operational readiness across all recreation areas.
  • Maintain facilities to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
  • Supervise and support teams including Little Acres Kids Club, Lifeguards, Reception, and Housekeeping.
  • Act as Duty Manager in the absence of senior management, handling member experience and incident management.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members through coaching, briefings, and performance management.
  • Identify training needs and implement initiatives to enhance team capability.
  • Deliver and continuously enhance a seamless, high-quality member experience.
  • Build and maintain strong member relationships, addressing feedback and complaints effectively.
  • Plan and execute recreational programs, activities, and events to drive member engagement.
  • Support revenue generation through upselling, promotions, and utilization-focused initiatives.
  • Coordinate on-day execution of recreation-related events, collaborating with Viya Events, F&B, and clients.
  • Monitor facility utilization, member feedback, and operational performance, providing actionable insights.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with departmental and club objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, including risk assessments and emergency response.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, including incident reports and performance data.
  • Assist with scheduling and rostering for optimal staffing and resource allocation.
  • Support the Assistant Country Club Manager with ad-hoc operational and strategic tasks.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, leisure, or recreation.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and operational coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Guest-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • High attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience managing multi-department teams and analyzing performance data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid certification (desirable)
  • Experience in luxury or member-focused environments
  • Experience working with children or delivering children’s programs
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
