Role Overview

Radio Infrastructure and Operations

• Lead TETRA indoor radio infrastructure provision and operation for non-official and non-competition venues.
• Plan and oversee installation of TETRA handsets, accessories, and related infrastructure.
• Conduct site surveys, concept designs, and installation planning for PMR and TETRA systems.
• Coordinate telecommunications engineering design, installation, operation, and maintenance activities.

Systems and Configuration

• Develop and maintain TETRA fleet maps and communication groups for different user groups.
• Manage radio user configurations and TETRA management systems, including GPS tracking and fleet management.
• Manage spectrum activities and coordinate radio frequency requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation for TETRA configuration and radio infrastructure.

Equipment and User Support

• Provide technical support at Radio Distribution Rooms and guidance to TETRA users.
• Support training on communication channels, TETRA groups, device controls, and basic accessory troubleshooting.
• Manage TADS records, including equipment serial numbers and asset condition.
• Coordinate TETRA equipment distribution, collection, inspection, and battery replacement.

Coordination

• Work with business units, IT and telecommunications teams, vendors, focal points, and TETRA users.
• Ensure reliable radio communications throughout event preparation and live operations.
• Support radio content collaboration and communication solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or an equivalent field.
• At least 12 years of telecommunications, radio communications, or related engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with TETRA systems, PMR services, spectrum management, and telecom infrastructure.
• Experience with site surveys, concept design, installation, operation, fleet maps, communication groups, and radio asset management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale international sporting events or major events.
• Qatar or GCC telecommunications experience.
• Experience managing Radio Distribution Rooms, TETRA GPS tracking, TADS, large radio inventories, or multi-venue deployments.
• Experience managing technical teams, vendors, and telecommunications service providers.
