Role Description
- This is a full time, on site role based in Dubai for QA/QC Engineers with a strong background in contracting and a minimum of 5 years of experience, specifically on high rise building projects.
- The role involves developing and implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures, inspecting construction works and materials, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- The QA/QC Engineer will review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans, and material submittals, while coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality related issues.
- Daily responsibilities include conducting site audits, preparing quality reports, monitoring corrective and preventive actions, and supporting continuous improvement in construction processes.
- The role also requires close collaboration with client representatives and consultants to maintain agreed quality benchmarks throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Assurance and Quality Control skills, including developing and implementing QA/QC procedures and standards.
- Experience in Quality Auditing and Quality Management, including internal audits, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Hands on Inspection experience in high rise building projects, covering materials, workmanship, and installation activities.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA/QC roles within the contracting sector, preferably focused on high rise construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, international standards, and local regulatory requirements in the GCC.
- Proficiency in preparing technical reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross functional project teams.
- Knowledge of QA/QC software tools and MS Office; experience with project management or construction management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work on site full time in Dubai and adapt to fast paced project environments.
