Role overview
The Purchasing Manager oversees end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations for the hotel.
The role reports to the Director of Finance and leads the purchasing, receiving, and storeroom function.
The objective is to secure quality goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining stock, compliance, and profitability.
Leadership and sourcing
- Lead, train, and manage purchasing, receiving, and storeroom personnel.
- Develop and maintain procurement SOPs aligned with corporate standards and internal audit guidelines.
- Build supplier relationships through audits, quality reviews, and price benchmarking.
- Manage purchasing across Food and Beverage, Rooms Division, Engineering, Spa, and Administrative departments.
- Conduct bidding, tender analysis, and contract negotiations for supplies, CapEx, and services.
- Monitor market trends, price changes, and seasonal variations to optimize purchasing.
Cost and inventory control
- Collaborate with the Cost Controller and Executive Chef on market lists, yield testing, and recipe costing.
- Ensure purchase orders receive required authorization before order placement.
