About the Role
Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a Proposal Engineer for Protection Automation to prepare technical and commercial bids, cost estimates, and quotations for SCMS products and systems.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical and commercial bid preparation, tender clarifications with the customer to convert enquiries into orders
- Prepare cost estimate, submit quotations, follow up quotation with customers to win order
- Provide technical support for sales, project management and engineering
- Coordinate with site engineer, engineering and procurement department, 3rd parties to achieve offer preparation on time
- Handover of acquired project to execution team/project manager and coordinate with execution team for acquisition of project
- Coordinate with Procurement Department for defining inquiries to external suppliers and support negotiating with suppliers
- Assist other colleagues/department as required like Siemens One to promote interdepartmental cooperation
- Ensure up to date market information through internal and external partners
Requirements
- Experience in SCMS products & systems
- Knowledge in IEC61850, Modbus, Profibus, IEC 101, IEC 104 or other communication protocols relevant in the energy automation field
- Experience in Cyber Security solutions in the SCMS (Intrusion Detection System, Whitelisting, Backup, logging etc.) as per the IEC standards
- Ability to review customer requirements / specifications in detail and come up with optimized technical and commercial solutions
- Risk management skills (preferred)
