The role is a Project Manager in global projects and industry solutions for air and sea logistics.
The position leads project logistics operations involving heavy lift, modules, project cargo, and multimodal transportation.
Project Management and Execution
- Lead door-to-door project logistics from planning through final delivery.
- Develop project execution plans, transportation schedules, milestones, and risk registers.
- Coordinate international freight, road, sea, barge, rail, heavy-haul, and specialized lifting operations.
- Manage oversized, out-of-gauge, breakbulk, heavy-lift, and project cargo movements.
- Ensure deliveries are safe, on schedule, and within budget.
- Manage a team of 3–5 project logistics professionals.
Technical and Engineering Coordination
- Review transportation studies, lifting plans, route surveys, and method statements.
- Coordinate with transport engineers, heavy-lift contractors, shipping lines, and port operators.
- Assess technical feasibility for transportation and lifting operations.
- Evaluate routes, bridge capacities, road restrictions, and permitting requirements.
Commercial Management
- Monitor project budgets, cost controls, and profitability.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Negotiate rates and commercial terms with carriers, transporters, and project vendors.
- Identify project risks and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
- The source requests 5–8 experience in project logistics, heavy lift, breakbulk, or project cargo operations.
- Qualifications include project planning, multimodal transportation, commercial management, risk management, and team leadership.
