Role overview
Process air import shipments and coordinate their movement from start to finish while monitoring compliance, timing, service quality, and cost.
Act as a primary customer contact and communicate with customers, overseas offices, airlines, warehouses, and truckers.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate shipments daily.
- Establish carrier schedules and tender shipments.
- Create country-specific documents and track shipments.
- Confirm rates, contain costs, consolidate loads, and select cost-effective pickup and delivery methods.
- Perform lane analysis and ensure shipment KPIs are met.
- Communicate with customers about issues and resolutions.
- Manage new account implementation from procedures through execution.
Quality, health and safety
- Support quality, health, safety, and environmental objectives and follow company policy requirements.
- Perform day-to-day activities in a sustainable and safety-conscious manner.
