The position is Forklift Driver within Contract Logistics.
The position is full time and based in a warehouse environment.
The role involves moving packed food materials and handling inbound and outbound shipments.
Responsibilities
- Verify invoices and packing lists for inbound shipments and report damages, shortages, overages, and discrepancies.
- Complete discrepancy forms for damaged goods and file the related records.
- Operate and maintain the forklift safely and prevent accidents or material damage.
- Segregate, scan when necessary, and put away items in correct warehouse locations.
- Complete manual put-away sheets for Warehouse Coordinator verification and system confirmation.
- Pick outbound items against pick lists, record details, and scan or re-check items before loading when required.
- Pack goods according to specifications and apply required labels and stickers.
- Assist with stock checks and cycle counts.
- Follow company policies and procedures for efficient operations.
- Move packed food materials to specified warehouse areas and stack them safely away from non-food products.
- Escalate problems, exceptions, and improvement opportunities to the supervisor.
- Perform other related duties or projects assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Characteristics
- High-school education.
- Two years of forklift experience in the UAE.
- Valid UAE heavy forklift licence that is at least two years old.
- Basic communication skills and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Aptitude toward safety.
Workplace
- The role is performed in a warehouse and includes operating a forklift and moving packed food materials.
- Materials must be stored safely and separated from non-food products.
