Role Overview
The Project Accountant - Accounts Payable manages accounts payable activities for a large semi-government organisation in Dubai.
The role is a renewable contract with an initial duration of six months and sits within the Accounts Payable Department.
The position reports directly to the Senior Manager and requires real estate and escrow account experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project accounting, including percentage of completion accounting and revenue recognition.
- Enter invoices and process three-way purchase order matching.
- Record invoice details, payment terms, and related information in the accounting system.
- Manage escrow payments and process invoices, electronic transfers, and other payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ledgers.
- Maintain vendor relationships, respond to inquiries, and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper accounts payable records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Generate accounts payable reports and assist with financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and financial policies.
- Investigate discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
