Senior Specialist - Financial Reporting

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare group financial reporting and consolidated financial statements under IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Manage multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments, and foreign currency translation.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs.
• Analyze balance sheet and profit and loss movements and support cash flow, equity, reconciliation, and reporting schedules.
• Coordinate consistent reporting policies, accounting treatments, data quality, and intercompany reconciliations across group finance teams.
• Prepare management and Board reporting with clear financial analysis and commentary.
• Coordinate with Tax, Treasury, Corporate Finance, FP&A, Business Finance, and external auditors.
• Improve reporting processes, controls, systems, automation, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and reporting matters.

Key Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualified accountant designation.
• Strong group financial reporting and consolidation experience.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting principles.
• Experience in a complex, multi-entity, or group environment.
• Understanding of intercompany accounting, eliminations, foreign exchange, cash flow, and balance sheet reporting.
• Experience preparing financial statements and management or Board reporting.
• Experience working with external auditors and managing audit requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to explain financial movements clearly.
• Excellent Excel and financial reporting systems capability.
• Big 4 experience is highly advantageous.
• Experience in a large corporate, semi-government, infrastructure, utilities, energy, or similarly complex organization is advantageous.
