edari is seeking a Finance Control Associate to support hands-on financial reporting and financial control activities for a client in Abu Dhabi.
The role requires ownership of day-to-day financial reporting across the full financial reporting cycle.
The position is permanent and reports to the Senior Specialist in the Finance department.
Key responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close and perform General Ledger activities.
- Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, monthly reports, and management analysis.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances, unusual movements, errors, discrepancies, and control gaps.
- Maintain complete and accurate financial data across the reporting cycle.
- Support financial controls, internal accounting policy compliance, audit requirements, and process improvements.
- Work with finance teams and business stakeholders to resolve reporting and accounting issues.
Required experience
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in a hands-on finance function within an industry or in-house organization is essential.
- 5–7 years of experience across General Ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting is required.
- Practical experience with financial statements, management reporting, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and journal entries is required.
- Experience across the full financial reporting cycle is required.
- Strong attention to detail, discrepancy investigation skills, independence, and ownership are required.
Preferred qualifications
- Fully certified ACCA, CA, or CPA profiles are highly preferred.
- Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP software and strong Excel skills is highly preferred.
- Availability immediately or within 30 days after accepting the offer is preferred.
Work eligibility
- The candidate must be able to work in the United Arab Emirates.
