Role Overview
The Principal Software Architect is a leadership role responsible for architectural strategy, design, and technical direction for software products and platforms.
The role provides technical leadership to multiple development teams and oversees end-to-end software solution design and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of complex software systems for scalability, performance, maintainability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide expert technical leadership and guidance to multiple development teams.
- Conduct architectural reviews, design sessions, and code reviews while enforcing architectural standards.
- Oversee end-to-end software solution design and implementation in alignment with business needs.
- Ensure quality standards covering performance optimization, reliability, data integrity, and cybersecurity.
- Work with DevOps teams to streamline build, release, and deployment processes.
- Define and monitor architectural metrics for system health and performance.
Qualifications
- M.Tech, B.Tech, or equivalent bachelor's degree.
- The stated minimum experience is 12 years and the stated maximum is 15 years.
- The description also states that the role typically requires 15 or more years of progressive software development experience, including substantial senior or lead architect experience.
