Role Overview
GE Vernova Advanced Research develops technology for decarbonization, renewables, electrification, and future products, processes, and services.
The Principal Engineer will advance electrical and grid technologies across GE Vernova Electrification, Renewables, and Power businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technology and product roadmaps for electrical and grid technologies.
- Identify technology needs, trends, strategic partners, and opportunities with disruptive potential.
- Build research programs supporting the GE Vernova electrification strategy.
- Lead early-stage technology development from concept through product introduction.
- Coordinate technology efforts with business teams and incorporate them into multigenerational roadmaps.
- Own laboratory demonstrations for internal and external customers.
- Provide technical leadership on technologies, market trends, competition, and business priorities.
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering with a power electronics or related specialization and at least 15 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 18 years of experience.
- At least 10 years of experience deploying electrical systems to business and production environments.
