Role Overview
Design, sizing, simulation, and laboratory testing of power electronic equipment, including variable speed and variable frequency drives.
The role focuses on industrial drive hardware, AC/DC power electronics, control cabinets, and related equipment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design LV/MV drive hardware and control cabinets according to project requirements.
- Perform sizing, loss-budget calculations, filter design, and protection-circuit design.
- Use calculations, modeling, and simulations to convert specifications into product and project designs.
- Prepare and validate configurations, operating principles, application guidelines, specifications, bills of material, single-line diagrams, and drawings.
- Verify prototype hardware under specified operating conditions.
- Support equipment manufacturing at factory and vendor facilities.
- Document functional test requirements and conduct testing to applicable UL and IEC standards.
- Conduct factory acceptance tests and coordinate project execution with the lead engineer and team manager.
- Travel as required to commission engineered projects.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in power electronics, electrical engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
