Role Overview

Contribute to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems.

Perform technical improvement activities for existing products and components.

Work within a defined operational framework under direct supervision and prescribed work instructions.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design LV/MV drive systems, including AC/DC power electronics and control cabinets.
  • Perform sizing, hardware design, loss budget calculations, and filter and protection circuit design.
  • Use calculations, modeling, and simulations to realize product and project requirements.
  • Design systems and equipment to meet reliability, testing, manufacturability, material, and cost guidelines.
  • Prepare and validate configurations, operating principles, application guidelines, specifications, BOMs, SLDs, and drawings.
  • Verify prototype hardware under specified operating conditions.
  • Support manufacturing at factory and vendor facilities.
  • Document and conduct functional tests under applicable UL/IEC standards and conduct project FATs.
  • Coordinate execution with the lead engineer and team manager.
  • Travel for project commissioning when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • 2–5 years of power electronics design and testing experience for industrial drives and related components.
  • Industrial knowledge in renewables, oil and gas, marine, or metal processing is preferred.
  • AutoCAD, EPLAN, and MATLAB/Simulink experience or knowledge is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of motors and drive control systems.
  • Relevant internship completion is an added advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and across culturally diverse, highly matrixed teams.
